"Armed with two swords, my femme fatale marched into the sandy arena in Monster Hunter Freedom 2 intent on making a dragon filet out of the winged creature, but a few charges and fireballs later, and my proud warrior was unconscious and getting dumped back at base camp."
All the dual swords you want aren't going to match up with a hulking monster like the Rathian, and he's a baaad dude.
IGN had a taste of the Monster Hunter Freedom 2 -- the up to four-player RPG that's twice as big as the original -- in April, but Capcom brought an updated version of the quest to Sony's Gamer's Day. Although the commands were the same, the aesthetics had gotten a noticeable bump. The orange and yellows of the barren, walled battle site popped; my weapons and armor were crisper; the scales on the Rathian were clearer; and bells and whistles such as question marks and exclamation marks above my enemy's head stood out in the once empty interface.
