Monster Hunter Portable 2nd Party

Seems like Japanese gamers are really enjoying the pre-summer events the most selling companies there are hosting lately, this time after the SQUAREENIX 2K7 PARTY it's the time for Konami To brought us a MHP2nd event!



Where tons of gamers teamed up in squads and tried to gather the first positions in a TIME ATTACK tournament for killing the Tigarex in the Snowy Mountain Stage.

There have been a little Q&A too with the developers, and here it is approximately a mere translation of hat they've said, so there will surely be errors and stuff, blame google.

Q> Wich weapon you think it's the most powerful?

A> The Hammer "Tsujimoto" and The Lance "Fujioka" take both the leads, since there are even some Guns that are pretty powerful, but the fact of bad aiming=not hitting can't let them get the lead with the other two.

Q> And about the monster the player will fight, wich one is the more challenging?

A> The "Rioreusu" (Flying Dragon) has become one of the classical bosses in the MH series so lately the Tigarex got extremely popular as the favourite boss from the players, but in the sense of challenging conception as a developer I say the "Ganototosu" gets' the player more busy balancing the two aspect of fighting such a creatures that can go both on the ground and underwater.

The event was big with more than 6500 people there, everyone with the ir PSP kicking on the wifi channels, plus the finalists got to display their matches on a big LCD screen, better than looking at Discovery Channel for me!
